FIX: Facebook Marketplace opens automatically when you open the Facebook app on Mobile devices.
A few days ago and for no apparent reason, Facebook Marketplace started opening when I opened the Facebook app on my phone. More specifically, every time I open the Facebook app the Facebook Marketplace opens automatically and I have to close it every time.
After trying different things without success (like clearing the cache and installing and reinstalling the Facebook app), I found that the only way to fix this problem is to remove the Marketplace shortcut from the navigation bar.
How to Stop Facebook Marketplace from opening when you launch the Facebook app.
To stop Facebook Marketplace from opening when you start the Facebook app:
1. Click on your Profile picture and then click the Settings
icon.
2. In Settings & privacy tap Navigation bar under Preferences.
3. Then tap Customize the bar
4. Under the Available shortcuts, locate the Marketplace and tap on Auto or Pin next to it.
5. Choose Hide and you're done!
