Step 1. Make sure that Basic typing is installed.
The "Basic typing" feature contains the required spellcheckers and dictionaries for each installed Windows language. So, proceed and make sure that is installed on your system.
1. Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language and region.

Step 2. Enable Autocorrect.
Make sure that AutoCorrect is enabled on your system.
1. Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language and region.
2. Under Related settings, select Typing.
3. Set the following settings to ON.

Method 4. Uninstall & Reinstall Microsoft Teams.
The final method to fix the Microsoft Teams spell checker issue, is to completely reinstall the app. To do that:
1. Navigate to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
2. Find the Microsoft Teams app and from the three dots 
menu select Uninstall
3. Restart your PC.
4. Finally, download and re-install Microsoft Teams and then check if the problem is solved.
