If you unlnstall a mouse and/or keyboard then you can't right click to uninstall everything (Solution 6, step 3). I tried it then couldn't use wireless mouse or keyboard

@catherine goddard: When you lose you usb kb/mouse, unplug and re-plug the usb adapter to get them back. Then uninstall all the other usb drivers (except for KB/Mouse).

I brought a USB disc cover for my sata hard disk from my laptop and wanted to use it as a usd external disk. The Device Manager sees the device, but it will now show up in File Explorer, how will solve this problem?

@Tumelo Ratopola: Go to Disk management, right-click on the storage dive and assign a drive letter (Change Drive Letter).

I tried every single step you have listed. NONE fixed my problem. The Device Manager sees the device, but it will now show up in File Explorer.

@Techie Teri: If your device is a storage device (e.g. USB disk) go to Disk Management and see if you can assign (change) a drive letter for it (Right click on the storage device > Change drive letter) .
