How to remove Strongvault online backup
Strongvault online backup (by stronghold.com) is an online backup software that can take a secure backup to your computer into online servers. For that reason the program collects information about any activity on your computer. Also upon Strongvault online backup installation, many users complain for system crashes and slow performance in their computer and internet activity or browsing redirects. How to remove "Strongvault online backup"Â application from your computer:
Step 1: Uninstall "Strongvault online backup" application from your computer.Â
Method 1: Remove “Strongvault online backup” using Windows control panel:
1. To do this, go to Start > Control Panel.
{Windows 8: Right click on the bottom left corner and select Control Panel }
{Windows XP: Start > Settings > Control Panel. }
2. Double click to open “Programs and Features” if you have Windows 8, 7 or Vista,
or “Add or Remove Programs” if you have Windows XP.

3. In the program list, find and remove/Uninstall these applications:
a. Strongvault Online Backup (Strongvault)
4. If  "Strongvault Online Backup" removal operation completed successfully, continue to Step 2, otherwise try Method 2.
Method 2: Remove “Strongvault online backup” application using Microsoft Fix It tool.
This method works, when "Strongvault online backup” application in not listed in the installed programs on your computer or if you face problems using Method 1.
1. Go to: https://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall
2. Press “Run now” button.
2. Click “Run” at security warning message.
3. Choose “Yes” to "User Account Control" warning question.
4. Press "Accept"Â button when "Microsoft Fix it" window appears.
5. Choose one of the two displayed options (no matter which is that).
e.g. Detect problems and let me select the fixes to apply.
6. At the "Are you having a problem installing or uninstalling a program" question, select “Uninstalling"
7. Scroll down the list of programs installed, until you find "Strongvault online backup" and press "Next".
8. In the next screen, choose “Yes, try uninstall” to start removing "Strongvault Online Backup".
9. When "Diagnosis is complete" message appears, press "Next".
10. When "Troubleshooting is complete" message appears check the "Fix status" value and press "Next" again.
11. If  "Fix status" value is labeled as "Fixed" in previous screen, then choose the first answer from the given answers "Yes, the problem has been fixed" and choose "Next".
12. Close troubleshooter window and proceed to next Step.
Step 2. Clean unwanted files and entries.
Use “CCleaner” program and proceed to clean your system from temporary internet files and invalid registry entries.*

Step 3. Clean your computer from remaining malicious threats.
Download and install MalwareBytes Antimalware Free program to clean your computer from malicious threats remaining on your computer.*
*If you don’t know how to install and use “MalwareBytes Anti-Malware“, read these instructions.
Advice: To ensure your computer is clean and safe, perform a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware full scan in windows “Safe mode“.*
*To get into Windows Safe mode, press the “F8” key as your computer is booting up, before the appearance of the Windows logo. When the “Windows Advanced Options Menu” appears on your screen, use your keyboard arrows keys to move to the Safe Mode option and then press “ENTER“.

I tried fhe microsoft fix it tool and it found two listings of program with the strongvault program, and it was only able to uninstall one of them. Please advise.

I uninstalled it but now I'm getting these pop up things it says "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" I'm not doing anything please help

Or you can go into Task Manager and kill the app from there. What I also did was to make it think I wanted to do some action and then hit CANCEL. The program crashed and then with the app being permanently killed, you can uninstall it easily without a reboot.

how long it takes to complete the uninstall? it took more than 3 hrs on mine, and since I left when I come back it was black out. I tried 3 time, the task never got done.
